Ethics Investigations Workshop
This course is designed for individuals responsible for conducting investigations into breaches of organisational codes of ethics, organisational values, and ethics-related policies, such as conflicts of interest, sexual harassment, and victimisation.
The Ethics Investigations course is focused on the methodology of ethics investigations, interviewing skills, and report writing.
During the workshop, the following themes will be introduced and explored:
- Introduction to ethics investigations vs. forensic investigations
- Essential qualities of an investigator
- The steps in an investigation, including:
- Planning and investigation
- Establishing facts
- Evaluating information
- Writing a report
- Interviewing, including:
- Preparing for an interview
- Setting the scene
- Differentiating between question types
The duration of the workshop is half a day.
After successfully completing the EOCP and the practical assignment, participants are awarded accreditation by the Stellenbosch Business School (SBS) and TEI as Certified Ethics Officers.
In addition, all newly certified Ethics Officers receive public recognition on TEI’s website and are automatically enrolled as TEI Supporters, with their first year of subscription fees covered.
