Why did I attend/Why did my company send me?

My company sent me because I was to be nominated as the ethics officer.

How did it benefit me personally?

I took it for granted that people always know what is right and wrong. I never thought about people that needed guidance or clarity on issues that impacted their ethical behavior. People want to do the right thing but don’t always know what is right in certain situations.

How is it benefiting my company?

It is early days still as we start on the journey of improving the ethical performance in our company.
