Why did you attend the programme?
The company sponsored me to attend this training because, being one of the key persons responsible for ethics management in the company, it was imperative that I enhance my knowledge and skills on this important subject. I also attended the training in order to attain professional certification and subsequently enhance my capacity to offer technical expertise in ethics management in the company. As an individual, I have a passion for excellence, efficiency and development that is, ensuring growth and expansion of resources. For me to impart this on others, I realize I needed to get the requisite knowledge and skills on business ethics so as to position myself and those I mentor to achieve this goal. In so doing, the company and the community at large will benefit from a workforce that manages resources reponsibly.
How did the programme benefit you personally?
As an individual, employee and advisor on ethical issues, through the exposure to praxtical skill-based lessons, I learnt new concepts on how to facilitate and nurture an ethical culture. Through the formal and informal interaction occassioned by the training sessions, I widened my network and adopted new forums through which I can share ideas and learn on the contemporary issues surrounding ethics management.
How is it benefitting your company?
There is now more awareness on the value of ethics in the organisation and employees now appreciate the relationship between ethical standards and the success of the company.Through ethics and integrity training, ethical issues are receiving their due attention because employees now value the availability and accessibility of the ethics management expertise within the company.
